Clam Harbor Yacht Club
Welcome to the new home of Clam Harbor Yacht Club!
In 1952, 6 friends got together and happened to discover that none belonged to any yacht club so they decided to start their own. One of the first principles of the club was that there would be no discrimination. The group was to be composed of "chiefs without Indians, officers without enlisted men." Things started out delightfully with the 6 men rolling dice to see who would be Commodore. Tom Mayor won the distinction over the other founding members of Bill and Don Edgerley, Hugh Loughran, Jack Loud and Ralph Kenney.
Today, our membership is over 200 strong and our principles remain the same. All are welcome to join us, get involved and enjoy the camaraderie of boating together!
